You Will:

• Jump in with both feet and learn a lot. We are not expecting someone to be an expert in the variety of substantive areas they’ll impact as part of their job. Instead, we want someone who is motivated to work hard, figure things out, and make a difference.
• Establish productive relationships with internal teams, helping them to issue spot and then solve problems throughout their process of ideating and the product/service lifecycle.
• Assist the legal team in providing regulatory advice on structuring products/services, advising on privacy matters, negotiating contracts, and handling anything else that requires legal guidance.
• Do a little of everything - We’re a small team, and because you’re great, we’ll ask for help in other areas too!
• Be a legal ambassador. Share the mission of legal, inspire people to work with legal, and field and clarify questions from people across Forward.

You Are:

• A generalist : You know a lot about a lot of things, and are comfortable diving into new challenges.
• Pragmatic and efficient: You think quickly and are able to give considered, practical advice without perfect information. You break down ideas, projects, and problems into components and create logical progressions through those components.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active membership in a state bar, CA preferred
• At least 3-5 years of experience practicing as an attorney

• BigLaw and startup experience
