Location:
Forward Slope Inc. is seeking multiple DevOps Engineers for different programs.
- Certain program positions are hybrid and candidate will be required to be onsite in San Diego, as needed. Typically, on-site work will be 2 days per week.
- Other programs will allow full-time remote options.
This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which is a compressed work schedule, with alternate Fridays off.
Job Description:
- Design and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions
Required Qualifications:
- Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain one
- CompTIA Security Certified
- Demonstrated 2-5 years DevOps experience with:
- Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Vagrant, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- CI/CD automation tools (i.e., GitLab, Jenkins, AWS Code Build, Azure Pipelines)
- Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Automation and Scripting (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Cyber security practices (i.e., Active Directory, HBSS, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience with :
- Cloud computing infrastructure or development (i.e., AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- Full-stack software development (i.e., Java, .NET, JavaScript, SQL)
- Utilizing Atlassian suite or equivalent (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
