Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant with an interest in sleep medicine to join our specialized healthcare team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving patients' quality of life through comprehensive sleep care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
• Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately
• Prepare examination rooms and medical instruments for procedures
• Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and treatment plans
• Assist with medical office administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical facility
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols, including HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Proficiency in conducting sleep studies (polysomnography) and scoring sleep study results
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and support patients
• Knowledge of sleep disorders, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
• CPR/AED certification encouraged
