Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Position Summary
Reporting to the NEST Program Coordinator, the group facilitator is responsible for providing recovery services using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and evidence-based practices to agency clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct client groups in the areas of:
Recovery and Wellness
Anger Management
Life Skills
Work schedule flexibility is needed to provide recovery services during evening programming.
Make sure groups start on time and run as scheduled.
Before the start of a group, be prepared with needed copies of lessons for all clients as necessary.
Maintain client folders containing group assignments throughout the client’s participation in group as necessary.
Assist clients in navigating their scheduled group attendance.
Assist clients in adhering to group rules of participation (i.e. no lateness, cell phone use, eating, drinking, foul language, hats or disrespect of other group members).
Participate in recovery case conferences as necessary.
Inform counseling staff of any relevant clinical or behavioral concerns regarding a client that may arise during their group participation.
Participate in team meetings.
Must be able to work well with co-workers to address programmatic challenges as they arise.
Inform their immediate supervisor of any barriers or challenges which may arise during the course of providing group treatment.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Participate in professional development and training via a self-directed means or as requested by supervisor.
Participate in community projects/activities with participants.
Conduct intakes for participants.
Use of the agency’s electronic database called Caseworthy, to enter service-related information as follows:
Printing out group attendance rosters before each group.
Making sure that each client attending the group is scheduled to be there and verifying this by looking at client’s copy of their schedule, Roster, or client agency ID.
Entering a group general clinical progress note following the completion of recovery groups.
Submitting signed group attendance rosters daily to the designated staff member and entering group attendance into Caseworthy and submitting both the Caseworthy report and a signed group attendance roster to the N.E.S.T. Coordinator.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency required; some college preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with client management database required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ideal candidate will have some training in the fundamentals of group dynamics and methods of facilitation.
Knowledge of and sensitivity to social issues faced by formerly incarcerated men and women.
Experience and/or desire to work with a culturally diverse population in an addiction service setting.
