Learn more about our culture here.Job DescriptionAs the Director of Sales – East Region for our Emtek and Schaub brand of products, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and programs to achieve sales, profit, and obtain market share goals for our eastern US wholesale distribution/direct-to dealer business. You will oversee a large team of external sales representatives and will be responsible for guiding, coaching, and training to ensure a comprehensive understanding and effective promotion of our luxury products.You will actively be seeking out new sales opportunities while nurturing existing relationships to increase our market share and engaging with key decision-makers and influencers within the residential hardware market, including dealers, distributors, builders, architects, and designers, to promote our products.The ideal candidate will have (10) years of sales experience with at least (5) years of managing a team with demonstrated growth in career. Your background will be in the building products space, and you will have managed your P&L with more than $50M in revenue or greater with demonstrated profitability.This position can be remotely based in the eastern United States with a preference for candidates in large metropolitan areas due to the travel necessity of this role. The salary range is anywhere from a base of $120K- $150K annually plus bonus* based on territory performance and other factors.What you will be doing:Develop and execute territory sales strategy and direct sales representatives on sales goals and activities.Interact with and make sales calls on, key decision-makers and influencers in the residential hardware market, including dealers, distributors, builders, architects, and designers.Identify and recommend sales opportunities in new and existing markets; increase market share in established accounts.Monitor and evaluate territory sales data, pricing, discounts, and competitors; compile and analyze sales figures and provide accurate forecasts and feedback to management.Provide product training to sales representatives and customers.Participate in trade shows; deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsBachelors’ Degree in related field.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in the building products industry.Experience managing external sales representatives.Exceptional client relationship skills, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop and implement effective sales strategies.Ability to travel domestically 60% of the time.Additional Information*Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factorsAt Fortune Brands Innovations, we support the overall health and wellness of our associates by offering comprehensive, competitive benefits that prioritize all aspects of wellbeing and provide flexibility for our teammates’ unique needs.
