Summary of Duties:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive nursing curriculum for students in both adult education and pediatric settings.
  • Provide instruction on various nursing topics, including acute care, care plans, phlebotomy, documentation review, primary care, nurse management, and nursing administration.
  • Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials to facilitate student understanding and application of nursing concepts.
  • Conduct classroom lectures, discussions, and interactive activities to enhance student learning and critical thinking skills.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and clinical assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and assessment methods.
  • Stay updated on current trends and advancements in nursing practice to incorporate into teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or MSN in progress.
  • Active RN license in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience as a nursing instructor or educator is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of adult education principles and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex nursing concepts to students.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes.

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
