Position: Candlewood Suites Guest Service Agent
Hours: The front desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Employees must be available to work said days unless a minimum two-week notice is given for days requested off.
Shifts: Shifts include 7 to 3 pm, 3-11 pm, 11-7 am, and other hours as determined by the business.
Position Summary: Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. Determines a guests reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay. Helps guests complete registration cards and then assigns rooms accommodating special requests whenever possible. Verifies the guests method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures. Places guests and room information in the appropriate areas and communicates this information to the appropriate hotel personnel. Works closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work. Maintains guest room key storage. Must be sales orientated. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices. Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
