Fort Pontchartrain A Wyndham Hotel is Hiring a Hotel Catering Sales Coordinator Near Detroit, MI
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEO'S) as per client needs (Catering Only) and communicate specific needs, contracted/agreed-upon details, and pricing for the meeting, event, or program.
Promptly follow up on all customer calls and requests in an efficient and expedient manner Type all correspondence pertaining to the department.
Maintain accurate event details, guaranteed guest counts, billing information, tax-exempt status, and verification of payment in company software systems.
Provide detailed information on meeting-specific needs throughout the entire booking process from negotiation through departure.
Maintain the Posting Master (PM) account ledger by keeping track of all open PM accounts.
Assist the Catering Sales Manager with tastings and site visits.
Maintaining various virtual filing systems, including vendor information for each function.
Develop weekly and monthly reports.
Willingness to work in a team environment toward the common goal.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
High work ethic and self-initiative.
Someone who enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our guests.
Preferred Qualifications & Traits:
Previous Food and Beverage experience.
OPERA system experience.
Previous hospitality experience.
Significant customer service experience.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to exceed quality standards.
