Forsyth Technical Community College is Hiring a Marketing Assistant Near Salem, NC
- Associate degree in graphic design/graphic arts or equivalent work experience. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept. of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- Excellent proficiency in both written and oral communication.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve in environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and make independent judgements.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work as a team member with staff, faculty, and outside vendors.
- Familiar with digital and conventional prepress file preparation
- Ability to produce quality work and meet established deadlines
- Excellent proofreading skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- A portfolio or sample of graphic design work is requested upon application.
- Community college work experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create new or modify existing design projects for internal and external audiences while adhering to the college brand guidelines and Department of College Relations, Marketing and Communication’s procedure and guidelines; including flyers, posters, catalogs, signs, brochures, advertisements, banners, invitations, logos, web & social graphics, etc
- Collaborate with and maintain good working relationships with clients
- Create and prepare digital files for a variety of printing formats
- Suggest graphic design methods for presenting ideas
- Maintain organized archive of all design files, photos, images, or other files
- Organize and prioritize several different projects and tasks that you would be working on simultaneously
- Perform other related work as required
- Translate marketing materials into Spanish
- Manage social media and photography at various college events
- The employee will need to regularly operate and use computers, phones and other electronic equipment
- The employee will frequently communicate and must be able to exchange accurate information with others
- The employee may need to move around their office and/or campus to attend meetings/ classes and to access files, machinery or other job-related tools
- The employee may need to lift and/or move equipment, tools or paperwork up to 25 pounds
- The employee may need to position themselves by reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching in order to adjust or collect equipment and/or supplies
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
