Formatic continues to grow rapidly and while we have amazing vendors for our emergencies and large jobs, we need someone who is able to handle more pro-active work when it comes to rentals such as performing site-checks (ie, condition reports) of properties, prepping of vacant homes that do not need remodels to become market ready, place lockboxes and notices as needed, perform basic repairs like minor electrical and plumbing, patch and paint, and ultimately grow Formatic's capacity in the area and provide an awesome experience for our residents and housing partners!

This position is for an individual only. We will not hire your company or your employees. Only you are allowed to perform the work. It has the opportunity to grow into further higher positions for a savvy and reliable maintenance/handyman. Please complete the assessments as they provide valuable insights.

License NOT required. Industry licenses such as HVAC or plumbing are a plus!

Scope of Work:

• This position requires someone capable of consistent quality work across a broad variety of general maintenance.
• Travel to properties we manage.

Repair Types Include:

Urgent repairs:

• Minor electrical
• Minor plumbing
• Able to identify bad thermostat when no heat/ac
• Hot water heater problems, such as a bad thermo-couple

Non-urgent repairs

• Installing blinds
• Running toilet repair
• Quality drywall patch and texture and paint matching
• Repaint a room
• Basic tiling repair
• Possible small remodels.
• Conduct annual site-checks of properties we manage to ensure condition is being maintained and identify any work to be done.

Requirements:

• At least three years of experience in general handyman and/or construction work
• License NOT required. Industry licenses such as HVAC or plumbing are a plus!
• You must have your own work vehicle and tools. You must own a truck that can be used to carry building materials such as drywall, toilets, etc when needed.
• You must have a computer and a smartphone to be able to use our maintenance software.
• You must be able to operate power tools, climb ladders, carry and move heavy objects, and
• Must speak English and Spanish at a conversational level (enough to communicate with residents and staff about the issues to be addressed)

Hours: 35 to 40 initially. After training you will never have less than 35 hours.

Pay: $32/Hour starting We provide:

Start: Immediately

Area: This position is best suited for someone who lives central to the main Inland Empire area (Riverside, Moreno Valley, Fontana, etc). Service area includes some properties in the high and low desert areas (Victorville, Palm Springs), to our Big Bear office once or twice a month, and properties down to Temecula. The vast bulk of the properties are located in the Corona, Riverside, Fontana, and Moreno Valley areas.

As a W2 employee, you get paid while driving even when you have to run to the further jobs!
