Busy, human-rights oriented immigration law office focusing on minors and families that qualify for political asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status is seeking a full-time associate attorney.
Duties include appearances at Master and Individual hearings in Immigration Court, appearances at the Suffolk County and Nassau County Family Court (for SIJS hearings only), asylum interviews and adjustment of status interviews, drafting of legal motions and documents, legal research, and case and evidence preparation. We are seeking someone who has superior work ethics, shows initiative, and can handle a caseload.
The following are required: immediate availability; licensed with any state bar; excellent legal research and writing skills; and valid Driver's License and transportation. Interest or passion in immigration and human rights is a plus. Prior immigration law experience is not required.
This is an in-person position only.
Includes full reimbursement of health, dental and vision insurance. Posted salary range is for entry-level.
