Merchandise ManagerThe Merch Manager reporting to the Store Manager is directlyresponsible for all Merchandising Operations within an assigned group ofDepartments in the store to Include but not limited to: DepartmentLayouts/adjacencies to guidelines noted in the Daily Memo, Signing Standards,Product Features, Raceway and promo aisle setup, Markdowns, Freight Flow to theSalesfloor, Loss Prevention and Shrink Control, Maintenance/Detail Recovery oftheir assigned departments and Acts as the Manager on Duty overseeing the storein the absence of the Store Manager and Co-Manager. Additional duties mayinclude HR Functions (Hiring, Staffing, Paperwork HR and Front End). The MerchManager is also responsible for ensuring all company policies and proceduresare understood and executed. Accountable for improving store volume, profits,shrink, employee retention/turnover and store merchandising/presentationstandards by meeting and exceeding all established budgets and companyguidelines. The ability to work at different locations in and around the cityin which you live at the District Managers discretion. Potential overnightaccommodations to assist in, but not limited to new store openings, storecleanups and Inventory at the needs of the Business and the District Manager.Ability to communicate effectively as it relates to communicating to customersand team members all Forman Mills written policy and procedures, training materials,directives and any other materials Forman Mills produces. May be required tolift up to 40 lbs. and on occasions up to 70 lbs. from floor level withadequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing,stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and repetitive lifting with or withoutreasonable accommodation.· Transfersto other stores within the market may occur and will need to be flexible tothose opportunities.· Abilityto work varied hours/days, including 2-3 nights per week, weekends and holidaysto meet the needs of the business.
