About The Role:The Environmental Health Specialist will support public health and well-being by conducting field work and assessments for various environmental and industrial hygiene projects. You will leverage your ability to maintain client relationships, while building and maintaining strong technical and field experience. This is a fulfilling and challenging role for those who enjoy hands-on work and making a positive impact in the health and safety of our communities. Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and punctuality, positive work ethic, enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the job done, and are open to learning beyond their comfort zone.Pay Range: $22-25 per hour.Working conditions:Must be able to work Monday through Friday, on a temporary, as-needed, part-time, (4-8 hour days).Must be available to work between the hours of 7am-7pm. About The Role:We are seeking a temporary, part-time Environmental Health Specialist to join our team and assist in performing respirator fit testing. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients by conducting respirator fit testing that protects them against hazardous and airborne infectious agents.Responsibilities:Conduct respirator fit testing for our clients using specialized equipment and techniques, while ensuring compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards.Process fit testing using an online application and digital tools, demonstrating a high level of tech-savviness to ensure accurate and efficient recording of test results.Foster a positive and helpful atmosphere during respirator fit testing sessions, addressing employee concerns and questions with professionalism and courtesy.Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment when conducting respirator fit testing.Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to established dress code standards, ensuring a presentable appearance that aligns with the company’s professional image.Requirements:High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree is a plus. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently and efficiently on a part-time, temporary basis.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills.Must be able to drive locally to client sites and maintain a clean driving record. You will travel as far as Salem, Oregon, and as close as Salmon Creek, Washington. Must pass a background check.Must be able to maintain an updated vaccination record and/or physicals as required by our clients and OSHA standards.Must be able to lift light equipment up to 30 lbs.
