THE POSITION:

We are seeking a Production Assistant to support the Purchasing Specialist and Project Managers to provide seamless preparation for the installation of our landscape projects. This person is able to handle simultaneous projects, has exceptional communication skills, and always checks their lists twice – and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty. This role is half desk work and have outdoor work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with offloading vendor deliveries and receiving material: plants, stone, irrigation and drainage supplies, etc.
• Assist with care of plants in holding area as needed to maintain retail-level quality: watering, fertilizing, repotting, irrigation, etc.
• Stage and tag materials associated with upcoming projects in holding area
• Maintain inventory of regularly used landscape supplies and communicate ordering needs to Purchasing Specialist
• Assist with operations schedule as needed
• Communicate with clients about scheduling and and answer questions or concerns
• Order and track 811 service calls for upcoming projects
• Coordinate any add-ons with Project Managers during the installation process
• Conduct final billing of landscape clients after verified by Project Manager 
• Manage and serve as point of contact for warranty requests
• Facilitate clear communication to Landscape Division teammates
• Run errands and pick up material orders as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license with no major MVR infractions
• Basic plant identification knowledge of trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Ability to perform physical work in outdoor conditions (both hot and cold) and lift 50 lbs
• Ability to safely run a skid steer loader (or willingness to be trained)
• Admin experience and ability to do computer work
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organized and detail-oriented nature
• Willingness to be flexible and multitask, handling multiple projects at once
• Positive and energetic demeanor and go-getter/driven attitude
