Overview

This role is open to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area ONLY - It will be REMOTE at first, and then become Hybrid once our NEW Tech hub is built in the Dallas area

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Store Applications POD. As a Sr. Engineer, you will take on a more advanced role in the analysis and development of software solutions specific to the store Point of Sale environment. Your expertise in various store systems, specifically Oracle XStore Version 23, will be essential to building high-performance applications.

In addition to your technical contributions, you will partner with peers and business parters in order to drive business value. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll address challenging business problems and recommend system enhancements for improved productivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

· Analyze requirements to define project-based objectives that align system features and functionality

· Design and modify XStore user interfaces and XStore integrations

· Design and develop user interfaces to web based applications; advocating design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products

· Design and conduct unit testing (automated and manual)

· Integrate applications and frameworks using various java-based technologies

· Complete application development in an agile environment by contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

· Provide off-hour assistance and support during critical outage situations.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related preferred

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in application development

· Passion and knowledge in retail systems

· 3 years experience with Oracle XStore POS and Java programming language is required

· Experience with .NET, C# programming language

· 3 Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases is required

· Experience with both Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems

· Ability to break complex problems down into actionable solutions

· Strong technical programming and analytical skills

· Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Experience with Agile software development processes

· Experience working on cross functional global teams

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000- $130000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
