**Description**

A Supervisor for Technology works within the General Merchandise department of our stores to support the management team, serve as a resource for all departments, a model for customer service, a driver for sales, and a skillful problem solver for all things tech.

As a Supervisor in the Technology division you will spend the majority of your time on the sales floor coaching and modeling Wow customer service. You will help train and oversee the daily work activity of booksellers in the division to ensure their current on trends in products and technology. You must be knowledgeable about the technology division and general store operations; provide outstanding customer service; help enforce loss prevention procedures; and ensure that the technology division is maintained and well merchandised.

**Expectations:**

* Spend the majority of your time on the sales floor as a mentor and model of exceptional customer service.

* Maintain a working knowledge of all products, current tech, and trends to assist customers in making the correct selections for their needs; finding compatible accessories; and troubleshooting basic issues.

* Knowledgeable of operating systems, hardware, and software for iOS, Android, and Windows based technology and gadgets.

* Assist with assigning work and providing focused direction to division booksellers to ensure the set up and restocking of displays is executed daily.

* Help resolve customer issues and complaints and escalating to manager, when necessary.

* Assist with processing sales transactions.

* Part-time positions require availability to work on a weekly basis year round. Schedules may be set or vary to meet the needs of the store an hours will be less than 30 per week.

**Physical Demands:**

* Frequent movement within the department and the store.

* Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

* Frequent lifting.

* Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

**Qualifications:**

* 2 years experience in a retail setting preferred.

* Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment.

* High school diploma/GED preferred.

* Excellent customer service and communication skills needed to answer questions and explain features in simplest form to people of various backgrounds and skill.

* Tech savvy relative to various operating systems, software, and hardware.

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

* Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
