Overview

This role is open to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area ONLY - It will be Remote at first, and then become Hybrid once our NEW Tech hub is built in the Dallas area

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our new PODs! As a Sr. Software Engineer you will take on the analysis and development of software solutions specific to the store environment that look to revolutionize the in-store experience.

You will be a part of the Innovation POD Team, where you will be quickly implementing proof-of-concept systems into pilot stores, making changes based on store feedback, and documentation for handoff to the Applications team. Your expertise in working with various store systems including POS, payments, handheld devices, time clocks, third party software will be essential in building high-performance in our stores. In addition to your technical contributions, you will collaborate with your peers and business parters to stand up proof-of-concept systems for live validation.

Responsibilities

· Analyze requirements to define project-based objectives that align system features and functionality.

· Quickly stand up systems based on an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) philosophy.

· Design and modify XStore user interfaces and XStore integrations.

· Design and develop user interfaces to web based applications; advocating design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products.

· Design and conduct unit testing (automated and manual).

· Integrate applications and frameworks using various java-based technologies.

· Complete application development in an agile environment by contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

· Provide off-hour assistance and support during critical outage situations.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relatedpreferred

· Minimum years’ experience: 5

· Passion and knowledge in (a specific field or industry): retail systems

· Experience working on cross functional global teams, multitasking and managing time independently with little direction

· Experience with .NET, C# programming language is preferred

· 2 years of experience Azure preferred

· 3 years of experience with Oracle XStore POS or other POS preferred

· 3 years experience with Java programming language preferred

· Experiencing with implementation and integration of SaaS systems

· Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases is required

· Experience with both Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems

· Ability to break complex problems down into actionable solutions

· Strong technical programming and analytical skills

· Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Experience with Agile software development processes.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000- $130000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
