Overview

This role is hybrid based in Dallas 

Foot Locker, Inc. seeks a Data & Analytics Technical Architect with a focus on building enterprise-level Data Platforms to support cross-functional Product development and Engineering across various lines of business. This role involves promoting innovation and collaboration across Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Platforms, Data Architecture, and Data Science teams. The ideal candidate should have experience in Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture patterns, Event-driven architectures, ETL, ELT, and Dimensional modeling, with expertise in platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI Data models and recommend best practices for dataset creation, report development, and visualizations.
• Apply semantic modeling in Power BI.
• Utilize data warehouse design principles, especially dimensional modeling.
• Efficiently create large datasets.
• Apply data visualization design principles.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize report performance.
• Modify tables, views, and SQL queries.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Azure data warehouse).

Skills & Knowledge:

• Define Event-driven Architecture, ETL, ELT, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, and Metadata Management.
• Develop a Data Governance framework focused on Operational Excellence, Cost Optimization, Metadata Management, Security, Reliability, and Performance efficiency.
• Work within an Agile environment.
• Strong database skills in Snowflake and SQL.

Qualifications

• 8 years minimum of experience in Data Architecture, Dimensional Modeling, and Data Ingestion/Transformation design.
• 5 years minimum of experience in Business Analytics tools for Reporting and Dashboards.
• 3 years minimum of experience in Reporting and Analytics using Power BI, with expertise in M Query, DAX, Data Modeling, and RLS.
• Leadership experience in architecture solutions for data and analytics use cases.
• Public cloud experience, preferably in Azure or GCP.
• Prior experience in the Retail Industry is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum methodology is a plus.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000 - $140000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
