This position is for a Senior Project Manager with Company atTwentynine Palms, CAyou will play a pivotal role in overseeing complex projects that are critical to ensuring the efficient and sustainable management of water resources. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams and managing all aspects of project execution from inception to completion. Your expertise in project management, coupled with your deep understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, will be instrumental in delivering successful outcomes that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of water/wastewater treatment projects. Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to team members throughout all project phases, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor and guide young professionals, nurturing their skills and passion to cultivate the future of the industry. Provide mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to the organization's success.
  • Infrastructure Project Management: Spearhead a monumental $150 million water infrastructure project, overseeing planning, budgeting, and execution to ensure its success and set new standards of excellence. Drive the project forward with precision and foresight, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Budget Management: Review initial budgets with meticulous attention to detail, optimizing resource allocation to maximize efficiency and meet project goals within budgetary constraints. Monitor project finances closely, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to ensure financial viability.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth, leveraging industry insights and networks to expand the organization's market presence. Cultivate relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and strategic partnerships.
  • Value Engineering and Innovation: Collaborate with a dynamic team to identify and capitalize on value engineering opportunities, optimize processes and enhance project efficiency through innovative problem-solving. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, seeking out innovative solutions to challenges and driving operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with owners and engineers, fostering trust and transparency to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, addressing concerns, soliciting feedback, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience (7 years) in project management within the water/wastewater treatment industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
