Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deli Manager to join our team. As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our deli department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high-quality food standards. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the deli department, including food preparation, inventory management, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Train and supervise deli staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Coordinate catering orders and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor product quality and freshness, rotating stock as necessary
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new deli team members
- Assist in creating schedules and managing labor costs

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service management role is required
- Strong knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and able to maintain high-quality standards
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management
- Familiarity with catering operations is preferred
- Hospitality management or related degree is a plus
