Position Summary The Accounting Clerk is an entry level finance position that performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting/finance department. In this role you will work onsite at our Holly, MI facility and will report to our Distribution Manager and SR. Staff Accountant.Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: • Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. • Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, and accounts payable). Enters data into a computer system using defined computer programs (SAP). • Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports. • Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers. • Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies. • Investigates questionable data. • Other projects as assigned. Measurements • Accuracy and timeliness of data processing • Clean audit verifications Qualifications-Education/Experience Required: • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • Requires 3 years experience in an accounting environment • Competent skills in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook • Proficient organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
