We at Folsom Lake Primary Care, an internal medicine clinic, are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working, and experienced Medical Assistant to be part of our team. Our practice currently has one full-time physician and one part-time nurse practitioner.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MA Certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience (preferably primary care office) using and working with SUTTER EPIC electronic medical record.

It is also essential that candidates have:

• Excellent customer service skills that involves interacting and discussing diagnostic results with patients, both in person and on the phone.
• Competency to accurately record data into the computer system
• Ability to function well under stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficiency with front and back office work.
• Knowledge of computer software such as windows operating system, web based applications such as google search and docs
• Thorough knowledge of how to do Patient check-in and check-out; Medication refills (through telephone, fax, and EPIC); Referrals; Prior Authorizations.
• Knowledge of different insurance types and inputting them in the Sutter EPIC EMR.
• Skills to perform injections, take vital signs, administer EKGs, and perform other usual MA credential duties in addition to helping the medical provider.
• Knowledge of Hills/Sutter metrics reporting is not required, though would make for a more ideal candidate.
