Your Mission

As Foleon’s QA your ultimate goal and purpose is to make sure everybody understands the level of quality our customers deserve. You help define what quality means and you mentor the development teams to help them only ship the most reliable code to production. By knowing everything about our application, you provide the right feedback to our development teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Help your team improve the quality of the product
• Make sure Quality is embedded in the whole software development process
• You discuss with your module on what level we want to test the risks that we see (unit, integration, E2E, etc.) (Test-automation pyramid)
• You explain what each of the team member’s responsibilities is when it comes to implementing tests (who tests what, when and how)
• Talk with your team and the Business stakeholders to define a risk-based test approach
• Organise exploratory testing sessions
• Bridge the gap between the business requirements in quality and the development of the product
• Lead the effort toward building and applying the right QA strategies within the whole development cycle
• Assess the current quality coverage and tools and propose continuous improvements
• Working together with the Lead QA and the QA chapter
• Responsible for the right quality but also the right implementation based on customer needs

Your Qualifications 

• You're a fluent English communicator (written and verbally)
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in similar roles
• Proven experience of working with relevant tools (Cypress, GitHub, POSTman, JIRA, and Confluence)
• Experience with Context-Driven Testing, preferably within a scale-up environment and SaaS applications
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Experience with rapid software testing (RST)
• Exploratory testing
• Risk-based testing
• Experience in performing/implementing performance and load testing
• Contract testing microservices
• Experience testing k8s microservice-based applications
• QA strategy optimizer
