Position Summary:

The Corporate Controller is the leader of the Finance & Accounting team. This role contributes to the success of the company by overseeing, supporting, and optimizing the daily functions and professional development of their core team members. The Corporate Controller supports our vision by overseeing all accounting activities related to budgeting, treasury, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable billing and collection, tax compliance, payroll, financial reporting, and month-end processing for domestic and international locations.


Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time salary position
  • Our Headquarters office is located at 7630 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33138
  • This role participates in our hybrid schedule
    • Hybrid Schedule: Monday & Friday; 2 days working remotely. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday; 3 days working in the headquarters office.

Major Duties Include:

  • Meets with and reports regularly to the VP of Finance on assigned responsibilities
  • Manages the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable and collections, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed assess records, etc.
  • Leads all treasury activities, including preparing daily and monthly cash forecast
  • Produces monthly financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assists with preparing consolidated financial statements of the domestic and international subsidiaries
  • Oversees comprehensive month-end close for multiple business entities, including approving journal entries, reconciling inter-company accounts, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring proper sales and state tax reporting
  • Enforces internal controls and separation of duties to help maintain financial integrity and best practices
  • Manages relationships with auditors, tax advisers, vendors, insurance companies, and bankers
  • Interfaces with external CPA firm and international consultants to ensure tax compliance and timely tax return filings
  • Fosters strong professional relationships with the entire management group by providing direct counsel and feedback that positively impacts the performance of the business and sharpens the financial acumen of the team
  • Balances both the results and culture success of the team by effectively interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Provides training, coaching, and inspiration to impact team member development and attainment of quarterly and annual goals
  • Demonstrates approachability, support, and active assistance to other departments and team members
  • Uncovers people and process opportunities, crafts solutions, and champions the implementation
  • Maintains records of core team members’ achievements, productivity, and development opportunities to prepare and deliver on-time IDPs and annual reviews
  • Processes and approves accurate and timely payroll for core team members
  • Appreciates the relationship between recognition, reinforcement, and results

Education, Experience & Computer Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in leadership/ managerial role
  • Experience in accounting for foreign entities and consolidation (ideally Mexico and EU)
  • Fully bilingual in English, Spanish preferred
  • Proficient with ERP systems, SAP Business One Accounting System
  • Mastery in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of “Datarails” software
