Part Time/Full-time Opportunity

We are currently seeking Mental Health Skill Building Specialist to perform mental health skill building services for our consumers in the Richmond and/or surrounding area. We have immediate openings for part-time/ contract workers that could lead to full-time contract & leadership positions.

The position provides an array of training, support and activities of daily living services to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness in the community setting. Mental Health Support Specialists are responsible for all consumer related documentation and reports as well as the development and implementation of person centered service plan goals and objectives. Mental Health Support Specialists are required to provide their own transportation with the use of their personal vehicles. Majority (95%) of the services provided is in the form of direct involvement with consumers, family members and community linked service providers. The remaining time will be utilized for service coordination and administrative duties. Position reports directly to the supervisor.

*This is the MHSS position with a pay range of $19 to $21 per hour depending on experience. Must have reliable transportation and a working telephone or cellular phone. Must have a minimum of one year experience (QMHP-A) working with individuals with severe mental illness.

• QMHP-A Certification/License or QMHP-A Trainee
• Driver's License

Required education:

• Bachelor's preferred
• We will consider QPPMH candidates with an Associate's Degree who are motivated to learn and who want to work in the community mental health field.

Required experience:

• QMHP-A: 1 year
• Mental Health Skill Building: 1 year
• A minimum of one year Community Mental Health experience working with adults with severe mental illness diagnosis.
