FNNB is Hiring a Personal Banker Near Newton, IA

SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to use appropriate resources to fulfill customer needs in a way that motivates them to continue and expand the use of our products and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Satisfactory performance is required for these following functions and all other duties as assigned.

  • Provide personalized service by thoroughly and efficiently gathering customer information, assessing, and fulfilling customer needs, and educating customers when necessary.
  • See Manager for specific expectations.
  • Accurately process applicable transactions according to Bank policies and procedures.
  • See Teller Offage Policy for Teller function accuracy requirements.
  • See Manager for accuracy requirements on all other transactions.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of data capture entries and processes.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and ensure the security of all currency and monetary instruments, report discrepancies.
  • See Teller Offage policy.
  • Maintain balanced vault and coin machine.
  • Accurately complete and maintain in current order all assigned records and reports.
  • Log money-orders, cashier checks, cash advances, and gift cards.
  • ATM balancing, CTR’s, and monetary instruments.
  • OFAC all non-customer transactions.
  • See manager for requirements on all other records and reports.
  • Assist in product development.
  • Fiserv for spec. changes.
  • Provide input on new products.
  • Update fee schedule annually.
  • Work with compliance on new products.
  • Survey other banks.
  • Assist in the back-up of duties assigned to the Administrative Assistant to the President.
  • Answer telephone.
  • Assist in lock-box area.
  • Pick-up and distribute mail.
  • Maintain functionality of Automatic Teller Machine(s) on a daily basis.
  • Balance and restock ATM.
  • Process deposits.
  • Remedy mechanical issues and/or contact vendor as needed for repair.
  • File and/or review applicable reports with federal government and State of Iowa as required.
  • Review 314A Report.
  • Trust report.
  • Annual State of Iowa Treasurer’s report.
  • Others as assigned by manager.

COMPETENCIES

  • Use standard office equipment including printer, copier, facsimile, telephone, coin wrapper, coin counter, credit card machine, etc.

  • Effective interpretation, composition, and presentation of information and ideas.
  • Accurately and efficiently balance cash drawer and count large amounts of cash and/or monetary instruments.

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor and attitude.

  • Travel 5% of the time with the use of personal vehicle.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Two (2) years of banking experience and one (1) year of related customer service experience in a bank or financial institution preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will generally experience a quiet office environment typical of those experienced at a bank or financial institution. However, the employee will experience brief periods of exposure to the outdoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
