FMI Corporation is Hiring a Leadership Development Fellow (NC or CO) Near Raleigh, NC

Overview

FMI’s Leadership and Organizational Development practice is seeking a dedicated, driven individual with a passion for leadership. In this exciting, fast-paced and highly developmental fellowship, you will help generate cutting edge content to improve our clients’ organizations, teams and individual leaders. We are seeking individuals pursuing an advanced degree who are detail-oriented and enjoy thinking deeply about what it means to be a great leader. The role will focus on succession management, leadership & talent development, team leadership, organizational development, executive advising & coaching and corporate governance.

This is a paid, part-time fellowship requiring a commitment of 25-30 hours per week. Length of the Fellowship varies, but most serve in the role for 12 months before reaching readiness for a full-time role. This is a hybrid position based either in our Denver, Colorado office or at our headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

All applicants for employment must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship not available at this time.

In this role, you will learn to:

  • Build expertise in a variety of leadership & organizational development services
  • Increase your self-awareness around your strengths and areas for improvement in leadership consulting
  • Design consulting and training content (presentations, facilitator scripts, activities)
  • Translate research & academic concepts into practical solutions & insights for clients
  • Analyze various forms of company data from interviews and surveys & translate them into themes and recommendations for clients
  • Deliver training, presentations and speeches in person and virtually to diverse audiences, honing your unique facilitation style

Responsibilities

  • Research the latest leadership & organizational development topics and trends
  • Integrate relevant research into client-ready content
  • Improve existing training and consulting content
  • Create presentations and facilitator scripts to be used in consulting engagements
  • Develop evaluation reports in a wide variety of leadership and organizational development service areas
  • Analyze organizational and individual data to gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of large organizations and assist in the development of action plans for them

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD degree in Business, I/O Psychology or related field
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience in a business or academic setting
  • Experience in analysis and interpretation of psychometric assessments is a plus
  • Passionate about leadership development and leadership trends
  • Proficient in conducting online research
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills. Experience and comfort with public speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Superior time management and project management skills, and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to solving problems and strong ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Fluency in English (Writing, Speaking, Listening)

Compensation:

$30-$32/hr DOE
