Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing tenant relationships, ensuring property maintenance and repairs, and maximizing occupancy rates. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and customer service skills, as well as a solid understanding of property management laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule repairs and ensure prompt resolution of issues
- Advertise and market available properties to attract prospective tenants
- Screen potential tenants by conducting background checks and verifying references
- Prepare lease agreements and enforce lease terms
- Collect rent payments and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Monitor rental market trends to determine competitive rental rates
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local housing laws and regulations

- Strong data entry skills for maintaining accurate tenant records
- Excellent administrative skills for managing property documents and contracts
- Upselling abilities to promote additional services or upgrades to tenants
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures related to property management
- Proficient in customer relationship management to build positive tenant relationships
- Sales skills to effectively market available properties and attract tenants
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and requirements
- Understanding of contract law to negotiate lease agreements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Proven experience in property management or related field
- Knowledge of local housing laws, regulations, and fair housing practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to labor laws.
