STAGELINE TECHNICIAN

Flyspace Productions is a full-service, woman-owned event management and production company. We produce some of the largest festivals and live events in the region, in addition to numerous private, corporate, and community events. We provide our clients with support from a full-service, in-house Production Department that provides technical equipment including concert audio, lighting, truss, and rigging, as well as the largest fleet of Stageline Mobile Stages on the East Coast. Our Creative Department provides exceptional expertise in festival production, event planning, brand activations, and fine art installation.

We are seeking a Stage Line certified technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the transportation, operation, and maintenance of our mobile stage fleet for a wide variety of events. If you enjoy a position in which every day is different, this could be a great fit for you!

This is a seasonal position from mid-March through October with the potential to extend into a full-time position. Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Transport, operate, and maintain Stageline stages including SL 50, SL 100, SL 260, SL 320, SAM 450 models.
• Act as crew lead, directing stagehands and union hands during stage builds.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness.
• Communicate with project managers and clients about specific project needs.
• Certification(s) on Stageline stages.
• Experience and understanding of how to properly pack, transport, and store production equipment including lighting, audio, and video equipment.
• Ability to assist with other production equipment installation and operation as needed, including audio, lighting, video, and rigging/truss.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule that may include long hours and irregular times, including weekends, nights, and some holidays.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Med Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification on the Stageline SAM 450 model
• Previous experience in theater, events, concerts, or other production background is highly desired.
• Understanding of artistic processes and the ability to work closely with clients in a diplomatic and professional manner.
• Experience towing vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with operating heavy equipment such as lifts, front loaders, forklifts, etc.
• 2 years of experience leading stagehand crews.

Work Setting & Physical Exertion:

• Position requires regular exposure to outdoor elements and loud noise.
• Position requires the use of basic hand tools and electrical tools.
• Position works with electrical components.
• Incumbent will be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Incumbent will be required to travel to work sites as needed.
• Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.
• Incumbent must be able to bend, stoop, crawl and climb stairs
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
