Flying Food Group is Hiring a Cook Near South San Francisco, CA

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Responsible for all facets of daily hot food production including maintenance of daily requisitions, production sheets and monthly updates.
  • Implement customer specific menu items
  • Maintain HACCP standards including regulatory guidelines and requirements (USDA, FDA)
  • Production planning and management
  • Responsible for Food & Quality Safety
  • Ensure compliance with Client’s specification, personal hygiene and food handling procedures.
  • Assist in departmental scheduling and control of hours and food cost
  • Assist in the development and training of employees.
  • Assist in maintaining a good relationship between the departments as well as Clients
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: 
  • 5 years Cook experience with a minimum of 2 years in cooking institution/airline catering/hospitality
  • Strong working knowledge of cooking and techniques, being able to read, cook and follow recipes and specific cooking methodology
  • Experience with international, Western and Asian cuisines.
  • Ability to read, speak and write English and use computers to send/receive emails, MS Word, Office, Excel
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Ability to read, speak and write English
  • Bilingual preferred but not necessary
