Fluff 'n' Buff Dog Grooming is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dog Groomer to join our growing team. As a key member of our small yet dynamic grooming shop, you will be responsible for providing top-notch grooming services with a focus on breed-specific haircuts, trending styles, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-service grooming, including baths, haircuts, deshedding, nail trims, teeth brushing, and more.
• Demonstrate expertise in breed-specific haircuts and stay updated on trending grooming styles.
• Handle grooming sessions for high-anxiety and dog-aggressive clients with care and patience.
• Comfortably groom larger pups (95lbs ) with attention to their unique needs.
• Utilize a basic understanding of dog behavior to ensure maximum comfort during appointments.
• Maintain excellent client communication and customer service skills to build strong relationships.
• Conduct client check-ins, process Point of Sale (POS) transactions, and manage appointment schedules.
• Perform general maintenance tasks in between appointments, including cleaning and disinfecting tubs, tables, and grooming tools.
• Utilize doggy hair dye for interested clients (an added bonus).
• Exercise patience and empathy with dogs of all behaviors and ailments.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with expertise in breed-specific haircuts.
• Ability to groom high-anxiety and dog-aggressive clients.
• Comfortable handling larger pups (95lbs ) during grooming sessions.
• Basic understanding of dog behavior to ensure a comfortable grooming experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in full-service grooming tasks.
• Ability to handle POS transactions and client check-ins.
• General maintenance skills for cleaning and disinfecting grooming tools and equipment.
• Doggy hair dye experience is an added bonus.
• True patience and empathy with dogs of all behaviors and ailments.

Compensation:

• 50% commission W-2 100% Tips
• Weekly pay
• Flexible schedule (ideally Tuesday-Saturday, 9 am - 5 pm)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $3,400.00 - $5,500.00 per month

Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
