Florida Orthopaedic Institute is Hiring a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT II - IN OFFICE - TELECOM/USF AREA Near Tampa, FL

This position is an on site role which means you will be required to work in office Monday - Friday.

In this role you will:

Support a growing Orthopaedic practice by performing a variety of HR-related duties providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department and staff within FOI and its divisions. You will report directly to the Director of Human resources and work along side the rest of the HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Run employee reports in Paycom as requested
  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
  • Prepare responses to unemployment claims
  • Report all work related injuries and provide follow-up on Workers Comp claims.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
  • All other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • Associates Degree and/or 2 years relevant work experience
  • 2 years experience in a physician practice setting
  • Knowledge of HR related laws, rules & regulations
  • Knowlege of Worker's Comp injury reporting and rules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher
  • Must be able to handle high volume human resources inquires
  • Sharp decision-making skills with compliance and our employees’ well-being in mind
  • Experience working with an ATS

Wed Love It If You Also Had:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Orthopaedic practice experience
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS and ATS
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
