Overview

Florida Health Care Plans, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to Float to our Volusia County facilities.
Summary
This position is 40 hours weekly, with flexible scheduling based on need. Either 5–8-hour days or 4–10-hour days, or 3-12 hour days and 1-4 hour day.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure
• Minimum 3 years’ post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination.

Education, skills, and experience

• Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program
• Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)
• Foreign body removal
• Laceration repair, Suturing skills
• Abscess I & D
• Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures
• DOT Certification required within 30 days
• Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter’s physicals, etc.)
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills)
• Worker’s Comp experience preferred
• Great Customer Service and Communication skills with patients and their primary care physicians
