Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Return Specialist to join our team. As an Amazon Return Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the return process for products sold on the Amazon platform. You will handle customer inquiries, process return requests, and facilitate the resolution of issues related to returns. The Return Specialist will be responsible for processing returns and ensuring accurate record-keeping to support efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Return Processing:

• Receive and inspect returned merchandise to determine eligibility for return or exchange.
• Process return authorizations and generate return labels for vendors ensuring compliance with return policies and procedures.
• Update inventory records and adjust stock levels accordingly to reflect returned items.

Customer Service:

• Communicate with customers regarding return inquiries, providing assistance and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with customer service representatives to address customer concerns and facilitate returns or exchanges effectively.

Quality Control:

• Inspect returned items for damage, defects, or missing components, documenting findings and initiating appropriate actions.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify product quality issues and implement corrective measures as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of returns, exchanges, and inventory adjustments using inventory management software or spreadsheets.
• Generate reports on return trends, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics to support decision-making and process improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline return processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices in inventory management and return processing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in inventory management, return processing, or related roles, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
