Job Summary

We are Willing to Train the right candidate! Experience is preferred but not required.

Pay is starting at $14 or more depending on your experience!

Seeking a full time Medical Assistant for a busy podiatry group in Flint and Clio MI.

Our Team is GROWING! We need dependable and hard-working Assistants to join us!

Must be available to work varied hours Monday - Friday, and be able to travel to either of our 2 offices.

Must be responsible, motivated, and have reliable transportation to Flint and Clio.

Responsibilities and Duties

Clinical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Taking medical histories and recording vital signs when necessary
  • Explaining treatment procedures as needed to patients
  • Preparing patients for examination, assist the physician during the examination, instruct patients about medication and special diets, and prepare and administer medications as directed by a podiatrist
  • Making castings of feet, preparing patients,
  • Removing sutures and changing dressings
  • Arranging examining room instruments and equipment
  • Keeping waiting room and examining rooms clean
  • Managing office emergencies
  • Molding for custom orthotics
  • Tracking inventory needs
  • Communicating with management
  • Knowledge of industry policies and standards (OSHA / HIPAA)
  • Other assigned duties
  • Xray
  • EMR

Qualifications and Skills

*Would like to have someone with at least 2 years experience in the Podiatry or other Relevant Medical Field

*Would like to have someone with experience in use of EMR/EHR

*Must own reliable transportation to travel in between our TWO offices on a regular basis

Candidate must demonstrate past history of:

  • *Following directions
  • *Ability to tolerate medical procedures

Certification is preferred, but relevant/related experience may substitute requirement

Pay range has room for growth for the right candidate!

We are willing to train the right talent, but experience is preferred.
