Purpose of Position

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for leading internal job evaluations, partnering with HR stakeholders and managers in delivering overall compensation guidance and recommendations. This role will also be instrumental in ensuring compensation related data and processes are accurate and efficient in new HR technology tool.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and benchmark internal jobs to internal and external labor markets.
  • Perform and complete competitive pay analyses to assess current state and inform future state recommendations.
  • Partner with managers and HR partners in ensuring job description content accurately reflects described roles.
  • Provide compensation recommendations to managers, recruiters and other HR partners for new jobs, open requisitions and ad-hoc requests.
  • Manage salary structure, geographic differential and job-related data (i.e. exemption status, EEO category, functional grouping) in HR technology system.
  • Participate in annual salary surveys with survey vendors.
  • Support annual merit award processes and year-end reporting requirements.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience

2-4 years related experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Theoretical knowledge in compensation and general HR principles
  • Excellent analytical and math skills
  • Complex problem-solving skills: identifies complex problems, reviews and analyzes related information and formulates problem solutions
  • Service orientation skills: actively looks for ways to help co-workers
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities
