High end gift and gourmet food gifting company seeks a part-time PR consulting.

Hours/Schedule: approximately 5-7 hours/week, with flexible scheduling

Job Type: Contract

Location Requirements: Mostly Remote with some onsite requirements at the Quincy store, or in Milton. Candidate should be local to the Greater Boston area.

Rate: $40-$45/hr

Job Description: Develop and implement PR strategy to promote client, increase in person and online traffic and increase corporate gifting partnerships.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate formal communication and outreach efforts
• Provide tactical input on message creation and delivery
• Produce a weekly email
• Responsible for securing media opportunities, impressions and strategic partnership opportunities
• Facilitate relationships with key media/journalists
• Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or related field
• 5 years of experience
• Expertise in public relations in retail or customer service related field
• Established contacts with writers of local newspapers and media outlets that promote retail establishments to target
• Well-versed in latest social, mobile and local networks such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, GroupMe, Hashable, and other
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills a must
