General Manager-Farmer’s Depot

We are looking for a professional, experienced individual to lead, coordinate and grow our Mendenhall Farmer’s Depot location. This individual will help us become more efficient and effective in serving and supporting our customer’s needs and expectations.

Job Type: Full-time, Salary-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Farmer's Depot, including inventory management, merchandising, and cleanliness.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth functioning of the store.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability.

Customer Service Excellence:

• Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and fostering a customer-centric culture among staff.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Implement initiatives to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.

Staff Training and Development:

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to employees to promote professional growth and development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Financial Management:

• Manage store budget and expenses effectively, ensuring profitability and cost control.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including sales reports, profit and loss statements, and inventory reports.
• Implement measures to minimize shrinkage and loss prevention.

Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety regulations and protocols.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and train staff on proper handling of equipment and materials to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Agriculture or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in retail management, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of farm supplies, hunting and fishing equipment, and pet care products is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software.
