Flashpoint is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and maintaining compliance with all relevant safety regulations. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Shift: 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $20/hr (Temp to Perm with weekly pay)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe work environment
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, inspections, and other relevant information
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as OSHA regulations, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures
- Monitor compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and workers compensation laws
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation laws
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for accidents or incidents
- Excellent report writing skills to document safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
- CPR and first aid certification preferred
