Fix Auto is Hiring a Parts Manager Near Port Orchard, WA

JOB SUMMARY

The Parts Manager is responsible for assisting Metal Technicians and Estimators with parts procurement for repairs of damaged vehicles. Responsibilities include ordering parts, checking-in/Mirror matching all received parts, delivering parts to repair technician, and/or picking-up parts from suppliers/vendors if needed, returning parts and ensuring all parts are tracked in CARSTAR’s CCC management system for accuracy and job costing.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all parts orders coming in, handling of parts, sublet and materials, and using CCC procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, dispensing, and documenting all part orders.

  • Ordering all parts tasked and maintaining GP
  • Responsible for inspecting each part received for accuracy, proper pricing, proper profit margin and any damage.
  • Responsible for every invoice to have a PO#. Part(s) will not be paid without a PO#.
  • Responsible for negotiating with vendors proper repair time needed to be taken off purchase price. And applied to the RO as labor.
  • Responsible for storing all received parts with proper repair order number.
  • Responsible for all invoices and deliver to accounting.

EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years’ experience handling parts in an auto body collision facility (or similar parts business).
  • I-CAR training and/or ASE certification preferred.
  • Experience utilizing a computer for parts entry and linking of parts numbers in a management system.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to working independently without close supervision.
  • Highly organized and able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work the following days and hours:
  • Monday – Friday 7:30 - 5:00

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential physical requirements include:

· Ability to stoop, bend and kneel, squat, kneel and pulling

· Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping

· Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)

· Standing, sitting and walking

· Performing repetitive motions

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to:

  • Paint, fumes and particles
  • Dirt / Dust
  • Chemicals / Toxins
  • Varying heat / cold
  • Intermittent noise
  • Manage overall parts-returns to less than 20%. Return incorrect and defective parts and reorders for credit to the appropriate suppliers and document promptly in FIX AUTO management system.
  • All return slips are printed and attached to part(s) before the new part is ordered. Reordering a part(s) must be marked in CCC as ordered.
  • Perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner that does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injury.
  • Attend daily release meetings and bring status of parts so techs and CSR can be updated.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
