FIT Staffing is Hiring an IT Infrastructure Project Lead Near Springfield, MA

Our client, located in Springfield MA, specializes in individual and group disability product management. The firm designs customized products and provides expert disability risk management and cost-effective administrative services through proprietary systems. They are seeking an infrastructure project management resources to help lead enterprise infrastructure projects such as migration to the cloud, system modernization, and upgrades. To be clear, this is a long term contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical projects from initiation to completion, overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations, and actively manage project timelines and milestones.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues, risks, and escalations, and proactively address them to minimize project disruptions.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Conduct thorough project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in project management and technical domains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in technical roles, with demonstrated expertise in system integration or infrastructure management.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex technical projects from conception to delivery, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience with server infrastructure, off-the-shelf applications, Azure cloud migration, Azure Active Directory, MS Office 365, and Security Tooling (e.g. Rapid 7, Illumio).
  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
