Electronics Repair Technician

What does a great Electronics Repair Technician do? Electronics Repair Technician is tasked with the job of quality control inspection, electronic functional testing, reprogramming, electronic repair, cleaning, packing the point of sale (POS) equipment into boxes with associated parts.

We ensure the reliability of the POS equipment that are vital to our merchant's daily success of handling final transactions.

This role is important in the functionality and reliable operation of our point of sales products.

• What you will do :
• Reworks recommended components of units according to recorded failure.
• Ability to read and interpret Digital Multi Meter.
• Download, configure and test all units according to set procedures.
• Inspect for cosmetic failures.
• Fully erase any old program stored in unit as needed.
• Disassemble mechanical, electronic and plastic parts.
• Download appropriate test program into unit and fully test functionality of unit as needed.
• Using documented procedures, repair electronic equipment by replacing electronic or mechanical components within in the correct orientation and location (no Soldering necessary)
• Reinstall electronic components into electronic subassemblies with correct orientation and location.
• Reassemble, clean and test units.
• Records failures onto paperwork and into tracking system
• Report any informational discrepancies between the unit and its associated paperwork.
• What you will need to have :
• High School Diploma / GED
• 1 year work experience in a production environment or equivalent technical education
• What would be great to have :
• Formal Soldering Training or equivalent military training
• 3 years plus of electronic repair experience
• Experience soldering / desoldering surface mount and through-hole components
• Prior production, assembly line or warehouse experience
• Prior experience working with electronic devices
• Prior experience with ISO 9001 quality processes

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
