Job Title Senior Accountant What does a great Senior Accountant, Operational Accounting do? As a senior accountant for our Business Units, you will prepare and manage daily accounting tasks, monthly journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. Your role includes analyzing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, updating documentation with procedural changes, and contributing to the monthly financial close process. You will also recommend process improvements, identify control issues, propose solutions, act as a liaison between Accounting and Operations, and serve as an expert in cross-functional projects for business and regulatory changes. What you will do: Execute journal entries and support financial close processes, including the preparation of related documentation and financial analysis for accuracy. Review contracts and manage revenue recognition, including monthly revenue trend and variance analysis. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts such as receivables and payables. Collaborate with departments to ensure GAAP and corporate policy compliance, maintain SOX controls, and support audit activities. Learn team roles, and perform ad-hoc financial analysis and project-related duties as needed. What you will need to have: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent business degree. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close or audit experience of those tasks. Experience with balance sheet reconciliation. What would be great to have: SAP experience and/or advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience using analytic skills to research and resolve accounting matters. Experience with working knowledge of accounting theory and practice including GAAP. Experience communicating with varying levels of operational partners.
