About the role:

As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

About the team:

We develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. We identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. In addition, we interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Also, we train and communicate with clients on systems application.

What you will be doing:

* Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements.

* Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.

* Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.

* Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.

What you will need:

• Experience working with platforms that run Java and Linux on a relational database (DB2)

• A solid Java background with some experience in Java/J2EE (Jakarta EE)

• Experience with application servers (JBoss, WebSphere, Wildfly, etc.)

• Relational database development (DB2, Oracle, Postgres, etc.)

• Heavy experience with Java ecosystem

Added bonus if you have:

Knowledge of FIS products and services

Knowledge of financial services industry

Payments and or Banking experience

Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry , e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma
