Role Description

As a Director of Growth Initiatives you will be responsible for cultivating and managing strategic relationships with key external partners to drive business growth and revenue for our Data Monetization Solutions. You will lead the development and execution of growth strategies, identifying new opportunities for collaboration and expansion. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will negotiate agreements and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. Your role will involve fostering strong relationships with clients and partners, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams, and continuously evaluating initiative performance to optimize outcomes. Ultimately, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data monetization partner ecosystem and driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner closely with CEO to identify, negotiate, and manage strategic relationships aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including data providers, technology vendors, and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including data science, product management, and business development, to drive alignment and ensure successful execution of growth initiatives
  • Expand existing relationships by driving the continued flow of data valuations into the FirstParty services framework via data buyer client and third party aggregator partnerships
  • Evaluate partnership performance and metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize partnership effectiveness and ROI
  • Keep up with emerging industry trends and changing market dynamics within finance and alternative data ecosystems
  • Work cross-functionally to identify operational pain points and create or improve internal processes/policies to address those pain points with delivery teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of client-facing experience in partnerships and business development
  • Proven track record of success in developing and managing data partnerships within the technology, data analytics, or related industry
  • Past experience in roles that were measured by growth, new revenue streams, new partners, new clients
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and industry best practices
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels
  • Comfortable as lead on proposals and contracts with supporting SMEs as needed (legal, etc.)
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable partnership strategies and initiatives
  • Knowledge of System Integrators (SIs)/Service Providers (SPs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and the cloud ecosystem
