Our team is looking for an MRO Mechanical Technician to join them. You will report to the MRO Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Creedmoor, NC. What will you be doing? The MRO Overhaul Technician II position is responsible for overhauling/repairing electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic accessories at various stages of the repair and overhaul process, to determine whether the accessory (product) meets specifications relating to quality, workmanship, dimensions, functionality and performance. Steps in overhauling/repairing include disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, reassembling, and testing the unit. The MRO Technician II will use CMM’s, drawings, engineering prints or other approved technical data to accomplish this task. Essential Functions and Basic Duties for this job. maintain a clean and organized safe work area. Pick up assigned unit from lead/supervisor daily. Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, reassemble and test all units. Perform the required set up to test units. Keep accurate records through proper documentation of all measurements according to the CMM or relevant technical data. Write evaluation reports for each unit. Have an understanding of all the different forms that are used in the shop i.e., 8130 tags, teardown report, etc.) Continuously think of ways to improve work processes. Maintain open communication with internal customers at all times. What Experience, Knowledge, Education are we Looking for? Minimum 3` years recent relevant experience working in a similar role in a repair environment (aerospace desirable). Experienced using detailed engineering drawings and other technical records. Able to demonstrate understanding and application of the principles and theory of mechanical and electrical components within the engineering function. Preferred Qualifications: Possess a recognized vocational qualification in mechanical repair/overhaul. Experience working in a repair environment (aerospace desirable) Environment: This role requires access to and/or working near aviation fuels, epoxy, high pressure oxygen and other industrial COSHH materials. Elements of the role require periods of concentration and prolonged sitting. The role requires using small hand tools and operating machinery. The requirement to work near an Electrostatic Testing Area may affect individuals with pacemakers. What Benefits Do We Offer?
