This position is in our Eden Prairie office. Our team enjoys proximity to walking trails, restaurants, and shopping in the Eden Prairie area.

CREDIT SPECIALIST I OVERVIEW

Responsible for supporting First Western Equipment Finance’s daily credit application flow; initiate timely credit investigation, perform credit scoring procedures and documentation, and make credit decision at an appropriate level.

  • Process incoming credit applications to appropriate decision level
  • Access commercial credit reports (i.e. Equifax Commercial, Equifax, and PayNet)
  • Gather and document appropriate customer information
  • Produce a credit score for customer’s application and make a recommendation
  • Provide back up for entering applications in the Aspire system (i.e. large volume days, vacation)
  • Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations and the Bank’s policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act
  • Maintain continuing education related to regulatory standards

Credit Specialist I Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum three years’ experience in credit investigation and processing
  • Knowledge of lending and fair credit trade practices
