Job title: Security Guard

Reports to: Program Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property;
• Monitors surveillance equipment; inspects buildings; equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following the manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed.
• Maintains records and written reports.
• Maintain safety for all clients and staff.
• Aid Program Manager and Staff in assessing and maintaining safety.
• Maintain cleanliness of entire Facility: Includes Janitorial work.
• Other tasks as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Two years’ experience

· experience in Services to Persons Experiencing Homelessness.

· Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Power Point

· Speak, write and read fluently in English. Bilingual a plus

Salary:

 Based on experience. EOE

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
