As an Assistant Teacher/Floater, you will assist in providing developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for children with and without developmental delays and disabilities in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

- Assist Lead Teachers with developmental assessments and up-to-date documentation

- Gain a thorough understanding of each child’s individual challenges

- Help making appropriate adaptions for children with special needs

- Work with Lead Teacher to ensure classroom designs and operations meet TN State licensing standards, the 3-Star rating program and Tennessee’s Early Learning Standards

Minimum Qualifications

- 18 years or older

- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Experience working with young children

First Steps Child Development Center is open from 7:30am-5:30pm. Teachers are generally scheduled for 8 hour work days with a 1 hour lunch break.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
