First Response Security is looking for a Low Voltage Technician; Limited Energy Class A (LEA) to join our team!
Position: Install / Service (LEA)
Location: Beaverton, OR (on-site travel required to client locations)
Schedule: 4x10 schedule (either M-Th or T-F; rotating on call schedule for weekends with on call pay)
Pay: $38 - $45/hr DOE

The Ideal Candidate:
- Oregon LEA Journeyman license (or enough hours to sit for the LEA exam)
- Preferred: WA 06 License, NICET I or II license
- IT knowledge and skills
- Willing to be on-call periodically for emergencies - rotating on call schedule after training period
- Knowledgeable in local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of industry applications; ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
- Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Ability to pass a background check; drug screen; and DMV/Driving Record check
- Experience with Hanwha and Axis VMS
- Experience with Access Control (DMP preferred)
- Preferred: Experience with Honeywell and Resideo products; experience with Silent Knight
What You’ll Do:
Our LEA is responsible for making sure projects are safely implemented in order to ensure a proper, functional product and service is being provided to the client. You will be working with a variety of people and explaining the ins and outs of whatever system selected.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications – read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Solid product and technical knowledge, including applicable building codes, correct product application, price estimating, electricity, and cabling, etc.
- Obtain information regarding site conditions, site accessibility, and building restrictions and requirements, reviews with the Design and Installation teams
- Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team
- Identify time-sensitive installation needs and plan accordingly
- Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects, track resources and project progress
- Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency
- Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities and participate in project cost review
- Complete project-specific close-out documentation
- Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, report unsafe conditions and actions
